(Resources)
There were so many resources I consumed in preparation for the last post. As the drafts kept changing, the direction kept changing.
I may not have written directly on or from the resources linked below, but the value found in them cannot be understated.
Before I list those let me say I was definitely inspired by conversations with my family in Christ last week, and the work of, and conversations with my amazing wife.
I think I owe Rev. Dr. William J Barber II, of Repairers of the Breach and the Poor People’s Campaign, a bigger debt than I knew. I listened to his most recent sermon “A Pastoral Letter To The Nation” on Monday morning. I wanted to listen to it on Sunday but didn’t get the chance. We were on so many of the same pages. Check out what they’re doing on June 20.
Anyway, as is the case with so many things in this world, I don’t endorse everything found in all of these resources (be they sacred leaning or completely secular) but I think there’s a lot of value to be found. Bring your critical lenses and discernment.
Chew the meat, spit out the bones. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, maybe spit out the seeds, or just don’t eat the peel, or the rind.
Just because you physically can eat it doesn’t mean you should.
If anything really speaks to you drop a comment and let people know what you would recommend.
