And my God uses things to make things
Like, turning words into matter and sound waves
And no ways into ways
heartbreak and travesty
and disappointment into hope
And tears into tears of joy
And crying out of laughter
And loved children out of bastards-
Second chances out of first mistakes
And out of guilty sinners Saints,
and Holy daughters and sons
And out of the sound of His words
“Let there be light”, – suns, stars
And out of suns
Light
and Out of the Light of the World
which is His Word
Daughters and… sons.
Out of tragedies Comedies
And out of sorrow hope
And out of faith action
And action out of faith
And that faith by hearing
And hearing by the word of God
And the truth by His Word
from the beginning
And in the beginning
In the beginning God
And words, time, soundwaves, matter
And He,
Creating out of love
Acted
in faith
and gave
His word
Speaking
And it was good
Then we chose sin and were lost
And He in response speaking in love
Said if I be lifted up
And under the moonlight
On the fifth night of His passion
Speaking in faith
Christ said Not my will but Yours be done
Out of surrender and sacrifice,
and a “yes”, to submission
and death to self came forth life,
and an amen
And redemption, Our redemption
through His death through His resurrection
and ascension
our being gifted with the Holy Spirit
grafted into the family
–adoption.
So that in all things we would be drawing closer
As God is drawing closer
This was always part of the design
when He started at the drawing board
and before
from the brainstorming session
Make humanity mighty in Him,
in glory and in honor
a little lower than the angels
and they,
those heavenly messengers
looking at us with,
looking at you with,
not jealousy, but marvel, wonder… amazement.
That God would make His home within us,
within you,
manifest the very concept of tabernacle,
of temple, of Spirit and flesh
and redemption together in you and me.
You are a wonder, and a masterpiece
Consider what God made of us,
What angels make of us
How precious we are in His creative,
amazing sight.
This spoken word is about redemption, restoration, and purpose. It sort of picks up where the previous word left off and crescendos in rejoicing over how God sees us and has always seen us. Forget rose tinted lenses, our God sees us through the brilliant blood of the Cross.
We as human beings are highly esteemed by God, and marveled over by angels.
This spoken word reminds us of that again.
